Savage snow tires are EASY. Just get a "trials"
tire for a 15 inch Hodaka dirt bike rim. Then, buy
some slotted hex head sheet metal screws, no more
than 1/4 inch long, and screw one into each tread
block, including the sidewall/lip blocks. Used to
use these on Harleys when I lived in eastern
Washington State. Works halfway decent, just slow
down a whole lot where the road looks clean. Black
ice is a bitch, I have a scar under my lower jaw
from a modified clutch lever punching through
between my teeth and tongue. Consequently, I usually
have a full beard (weather and wife permitting).

PS: The 1/4 inch does not include the screw head,
just the shank length.
